Complaint to usersupport@cnam.ie
Subject: Complaint under Article 53 DSA – LinkedIn account restriction without proper justification usersupport@
I wish to lodge a formal complaint under Article 53 of the Digital Services Act (DSA) regarding LinkedIn (a Very Large Online Platform, established in Ireland), which has restricted my account without complying with its obligations under the DSA.
Despite repeated attempts, LinkedIn has:
Violated Article 17 (Statement of Reasons)
My account was restricted without a concrete and reasoned explanation.
No specific facts, evidence, or contractual/legal grounds were cited.
No indication was given whether automated decision-making was used.
No clear information on my right to appeal was provided.
Violated Articles 24–42 (Transparency Reporting)
LinkedIn has not published any transparency reports regarding the number of restrictions imposed, complaints received, or use of automated moderation.
Violated Article 53 (Right to Complain)
After exhausting LinkedIn’s internal appeal process, my complaint was dismissed with a generic response, without addressing my substantive concerns.
This situation not only undermines my professional identity and income (I am a paying Premium member), but also demonstrates systemic non-compliance by LinkedIn with its obligations as a VLOP under the DSA.
I have documented these issues extensively on my personal blog, which details my experiences and the legal shortcomings of LinkedIn’s processes:
Requested action:
I respectfully ask the Irish Digital Services Coordinator to investigate LinkedIn’s compliance with its DSA obligations and to take appropriate enforcement measures under Articles 67–74 https://linkedin-exclusion. blogspot.com/DSA, including the possibility of penalties for repeated and serious breaches.
I am happy to provide further evidence, including correspondence with LinkedIn, screenshots of account restriction notices, and failed Persona verification attempts.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Yours sincerely,
Jean Philippe Blankert 20 August 2025 internetavenue@outlook.com
